Leadhills Golf Club Rules.

The rules of golf apply at all times and the following local rules:

  1. A ball over a boundary fence at any hole is out of bounds.
  2. A ball in or over ditch on left hand side of the 1st and 8th fairway, both are treated as water hazards (red stakes/markers), both are clearly marked. Both should be treated as a Drop with one shot penalty at point of entry or if playable, play shot where it lies.
  3. Animal tracks, scrapings and holes on fairways lift and drop without penalty within one club length, not nearer the hole. 
    Greens ball should be marked and replaced without penalty to the nearest point of relief no nearer to the hole.
  4. All paths, roadways, gullies and stone markings, including sheds and shelters are integral parts of the course. 
  5. Gully on 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th holes is a hazard (red stakes/markers). Drop with one shot penalty at point of entry or play shot where it lies. 

 

Please help to look after the course. Replace divots on the fairways and repair pitch marks on greens. Most importantly, enjoy your golf, the wildlife and the fantastic scenery.
